This month, we welcome the Sturgeon MoonWe will welcome this Summer Full Moon on Saturday 9 August at 8.55am.
This Full Moon in Aquarius pushes us to think about how we connect with others. Ask yourself - does your connection bring a sense of Community?
Start to think about your connections and introduce a sense of gratitude for the friends and community circles which surround you.
This theme of gratitude is one we focus on at the Autumn Equinox, so this year, start to let this thought filter through.
(Thanks to our own moon appreciator Valerie Bass for your beautiful photo)

In general, Full Moons matter to us because they signify completion. Occurring roughly every 29 days, the moon and the sun are directly opposite each other allowing the moon to full reflect the sun's light. This polarity can bring a time of friction and more-intense emotional energy. Everything is in full illumination, making this the perfect time to look honestly at the full spectrum of what is or is not working for you.
The energy of the Full Moon can be honoured two days before, the day of, and up to two days after the actual full moon. At this time, your psychic abilities may be more awake - so listen closely to what you intuitively want to shed, let go of and release.

This month, we welcome the Buck MoonJuly's Full Moon is thought to originate from Native American culture. It specifically refers to the fact that July is the time of year when male deer begin to grow their antlers.
For us in the UK, the Buck Moon will rise on Thursday 10th July at 9:37pm and be visible in the south-southeast constellation Capricorn, working its way across the southern part of the sky throughout the night, setting in the southwest in the early hours around dawn. The 2025 Buck Moon will be a low-hanging Full Moon.
Unusual as it sounds mid-Summer, this Full Moon asks us to focus our attention on our careers, purpose, projects and commitments. Take a moment to write down your thoughts.

This higher energy fosters more outward connection and celebration. We love to meet monthly to celebrate the Full Moon and have our own rituals, which we have grown to look forward to. June is the gateway to summer and in some creative accounting way, seems to give us more time for the things we love…including the magic of midsummer.
This week we're talking about...
Maggie's Oils for Celebrating Summer SolsticeAnyone who knows me, knows that I love this time of year. June, my favourite and birth month holds a special place in my heart.
This year we celebrate the Summer Solstice on Saturday 21 June at 3:41am. This wonderful day, the longest of the year, marks the end of Spring and the gateway to the Summer.
Being at its Northen-most point from the Earth's equator, the sun is directly overhead at noon at the Tropic of Cancer. This is the moment in the year with the most light, granting us the feeling of potential, in our physical, personal and spiritual realms.
The Solstice fosters gratitude for the earth's gifts, which we can see all around us.
How to mark the Summer Solstice
Traditionally, this day has been celebrated around the world, most notably in the UK at Stonehenge. We love to gather to celebrate, pause and reflect on what is flourishing in our lives. We give thanks for abundance and light. In Chinese Medicine, the Summer is represented by the fire element and the Heart. Therefore we focus on heart-centred intentions for the rest of the year and write them down. Sometimes we put a drop of oil on our paper and then on our wrists to energise our intentions with pure plant-based goodness.
Oils for the Summer Solstice
These oils evoke warmth, clarity, vitality and spiritual grounding.
- Frankincense - for spiritual connection and inner peace
- Citrus Oils - symbolic of sunshine and abundance
- Lavender - soothes the senses and balances the Fire energy
- Rosemary - for mental clarity
- Ylang Ylang - opens the Heart
- Cedarwood or Sandalwood - to anchor energy when connecting with the sun and the sky
Let us know which oils you choose. Last year, Jen chose Dreamcatcher and every time she smelled it, her three heart-centred intentions came to the front of her thoughts. Very powerful.
And here is a Summer Solstice Blend for your diffuser.
