For as long as I can remember, I have had Lavender in my life.  My mum has always said that Lavender is the remedy for everything.  I love the little 5ml bottles and always have one with me,

From Stress to Success:  How my daughter navigated exam season with oils 

So proud of my daughter and the way she has steered her exam time. The best bit is that she now has this template of how exam sessions can be.  She's enjoyed it in many ways - her trusty oils for studying, by her bed and little ones for her exams.
 
There’s been so many wins through this and I am truly delighted that along the way my daughter has learned how to regulate her moods and enjoys using oils - it’s just so cute.

We will welcome this Summer Full Moon on Saturday 9 August at 8.55am. 

This Full Moon in Aquarius pushes us to think about how we connect with others.  Ask yourself - does your connection bring a sense of Community?

Start to think about your connections and introduce a sense of gratitude for the friends and community circles which surround you.
This theme of gratitude is one we focus on at the Autumn Equinox, so this year, start to let this thought filter through.

In general, Full Moons matter to us because they signify completion.  Occurring roughly every 29 days, the moon and the sun are directly opposite each other allowing the moon to full reflect the sun's light.  This polarity can bring a time of friction and more-intense emotional energy.  Everything is in full illumination, making this the perfect time to look honestly at the full spectrum of what is or is not working for you. 

The energy of the Full Moon can be honoured two days before, the day of, and up to two days after the actual full moon.  At this time, your psychic abilities may be more awake - so listen closely to what you intuitively want to shed, let go of and release.

A Better Solution for avoiding Insect Bites 

I took Jennifer's DIY insect repellent with me to Greece, where the mosquitoes are not forgiving in the summer, and it honestly saved me!  On the nights I used it, I notice a clear difference compared to the ones I didn't.

The 30ml bottle was the perfect size to carry in my bag, and I loved knowing I was using something completely natural (just distilled water, witch hazel, added essential oils) instead of the usual chemical-filled spray from the pharmacy. 

As a bonus, it smelled so good that people kept asking me what I was wearing.

This week we are talking about a simple recipe you'll need to hand ALL SUMMER 

You will become THE GO-TO PERSON for everyone who has an itchy bite, cut, scrape, burn or graze on their skin.  Just keep this in your bag wherever you go.



Recipe of the Month - Soothing Itch Stick

Do bugs love you?  Even if you remember to apply your bug spray, some insects can’t resist biting some people.  If this is you, here’s what to do to keep bites from getting too itchy or infected.

First, clean around the area with Thieves Spray.  We love this handy little bottle and take it everywhere

Next, generously roll this recipe directly on the skin for instant relief and accelerated healing.  
If you don't pre-make your 'itch stick', it's ok to layer the essential oils directly on your skin in this order.

Why These Oils?

- Tea Tree neutralises the foreign material on the skin
- Lavender starts the healing process
- Peppermint stops the itching and brings instant relief


 
What you’ll need: 
Instructions: 
  1. Add 10 drops each of your three essential oils to the roller bottle and let them combine
  2. Top your roller bottle with carrier oil, replace the top and roll to blend.  
  3. Apply to any bug bites or damaged skin to soothe and start the healing!
